Storyboard/Tutorials

Today I watch some tutorials on how to create a project with Adobe Flash Catalyst, the project created in the tutorial is similar to my project as it is also a type of quiz where the user has to choose with button to press. Thus, i learnt how to create a button, create interactions, create components, and transitions in the same video; most of the things i will have to do when creating my project (interactive quiz). Learning how to effectively use Adobe Flash Catalyst is crucial as it is a important process of when creating my quiz and it will help me amalgamate the entire thing into one quiz after i have finished creating all the graphics and others.

Apart from learning how to use Flash Catalyst, i need to familiarize myself the other programs i will use in my project and to create my quiz: Xara, the program that i will use to create vector images, Adobe Flash, the program that i will use to create animations, and Photoshop, the program that i will use to create pixel images. The variety of graphics that these series of programs can create will help augment my quiz and diversify it.
I have also started with my storyboard or planning by drawing the first 3 slides of my module, my front page will have the title and 4 buttons surrounding a arm with a Chinese flag. Each buttons will then lead to one topic withing the syllabus the students have to learn: The long march, The Manchurian crisis, The great leap forward, The cultural revolution. For each topic, the students will have some information to read and then it will be followed by a quiz to see how much the students have learnt. This part of the storyboard will be drawn later.
